When using Solar Charging
The Solar Panel is not charging the batteries, so they have reached a critical voltage level.
Things to check:
Is the Solar Panel clear of debris
Make sure that the panel is clean and has no debris on the surface that could affect the light transmission to the panel. In winter months this could be caused by snow building up on the panel or leaves accumulating on the surface.
Does the panel have direct access to sunlight
Make sure that the panel has direct access to the sunlight. As surrounding foliage grows, this can impede the sunlight so it may be necessary to reposition the panel.

Has the cable or connector become dislodged.
Make sure that the cable is attached to the ChickenGuard and that the cable itself has not been compromised by something and damaging the cable.
How to Check the Panel is Functioning
(This should only be conducted during daylight hours)
On the App
Press the Solar Icon button on the Home Screen and then press the Refresh Button (#1) in the lower left of the screen to receive the latest solar reading.
During the test, the Refresh Button will flash White/Yellow. When complete read the Solar Charge guage.
If the panel is charging, then the yellow zone - CHARGE - should be indicated. If it is not, then re-check the Solar Panel setup as above.
On the ChickenGuard.
Navigate to the Misc Settings menu on you ChickenGuard. Then using the left or right buttons, navigate through the menus until you see "Solar Voltage". This will display an immediate voltage value. To refresh the reading, press the left or right button to move away from the menu and then return back to the "Solar Voltage" menu to update the reading.
When using Alkaline Batteries.
The batteries have reached a point that they need changing. Replace all four batteries to continue using the ChickenGuard.
