Available Open and Close Options

Manual

This disables the automatic open or close cycle of the door. The user will have to manually open or close the door on either the App or at the ChickenGuard.

Sensor

This uses the onboard light sensor to open or close the door when the sun rises or sets

Timer

You can set a time of day for the door to open or close

Calculated Time

This calculates the sunrise or sunset time at your particular location every day and updates the ChickenGuard automatically. You may set an offset to this calculated time anywhere between +/-90mins of sunrise or sunset.

For example, if sunrise is shown as 05:30 but you wanted to have the door open at 06:00, by applying an offset of +30mins, the door would open at 06:00.

As the daylight hours change throughout the season, the sunrise/set times are calaculated for each day based on your geolocation.

LUX+

only available for the Close Cycle

When choosing the LUX+ option, the ChickenGuard will use the light sensor as its primary method to close. However, when choosing this option, you are asked to enter a time. This is a default time so that, should the door not be closed by the default time, the door will then close based on the entered time.

This can be useful during the summer months where is some places it does not get dark until close to midnight.

1 - Select the Setting to change

Choose the setting that you want to change by pressing button #1 or #2

2 - Choose the Open/Close type

Using the Up(#4) or Down(#6) buttons scroll through the options displayed in the textfield (#3). If you want to leave without saving press the CANCEL button at any time. Press the centre button (#5) to confirm the choice.

When required, for example when changing the time to open the door, use the Up and Down buttons to adjust each time element followed by button #5 to confirm each element.

The settings fields have a timout feature that will cancel any changes if no button press has been detected after around 15 seconds. The timeout is reset every time a button press is detected.
