This disables the automatic open or close cycle of the door.

This uses the onboard light sensor to open or close the door when the sun rises or sets

You can set a time of day for the door to open or close

This calculates the sunrise or sunset time at your particular location every day and updates the ChickenGuard automatically. You may set an offset to this calculated time anywhere between +/-90mins of sunrise or sunset.

For example, if sunrise is shown as 05:30 but you wanted to have the door open at 06:00, by applying an offset of +30mins, the door would open at 06:00.

As the daylight hours change throughout the season, the sunrise/set times are calaculated for each day based on your geolocation.

When choosing the LUX+ option, the ChickenGuard will use the light sensor as its primary method to close. However, when choosing this option, you are asked to enter a time. This is a default time so that, should the door not be closed by the default time, the door will then close based on the entered time.

This can be useful during the summer months where is some places it does not get dark until close to midnight.

Choose the setting that you want to change by pressing button #1 or #2

Using the Up(#3) or Down(#4) buttons scroll through the various options displayed on the LCD screen. If you want to leave without saving, scroll until you see Exit displayed on the screen and then press Select (#5).

When you have made your choice, press Select(#5) to choose this option.

Follow the LCD screen prompts should you need to adjust a timed element.

When complete, press the Save button(#5)
