First, wake the screen by pressing the menu button once. Then, from the “ChickenGuard.com” screen, press the menu button once more.
Now you are inside the "Settings menu".
The options in the Settings menu should be in this order: Open Settings, Close Settings, Set the Time, Door Calibration, LUX Adjustment, Misc Settings, Language, Exit.
Use the down button to scroll through in this order, and use the menu button to choose an option.
Think of the Settings menu as a carousel and it will be easier to make sense of.

Open Settings

The Open Settings page is where you can choose which option to use for opening the door.

Use up or down to scroll through options, pressing the menu button to select the one you want to use
If you choose "Timer", use the up and down buttons to change the hour and the minutes, using the menu button to save each one.
Close Settings

The Close Settings page is where you can choose which option to use for closing the door.

Press the down button once to get to "Close Settings", then menu button to enter this setting
Use up or down to scroll through options, pressing the menu button to select the one you want
If you choose "Timer", use the up and down buttons to change the hour and the minutes, using the menu button to save each one.
Set the Time

The Set the Time page is where you can set the Clock to the correct current time.

Press the down button twice to get to "Set the Time", and the menu button once to enter this setting
Use up and down to set the hour
Press the menu button to save the hour
Use up and down to set the minutes
Press the menu button to save the time.
Door Calibration
Door Calibration
The Door Calibration option is where you can calibrate your door. Calibration refers to the process of setting the door's Open and Closed positions.
MANUAL CALIBRATION
(Standard, Premium, and Extreme units, or newer models set to Manual Calibration)
Press the menu button once to wake the screen
Press the menu button once to go into settings
Press the down button three times to get to “Door Calibration”, then the centre/menu button to enter this setting
Follow the instructions on screen. Make sure to always set the Open position first.
The door will fully open at the end of a calibration. If not, please retry calibration.
AUTOMATIC CALIBRATION
(All-in-One units, and S5, P5, X5, and PRO units set to Automatic Calibration)
Press the menu button once to wake the screen
Press the menu button once to go into settings
Press the down button three times to get to “Door Calibration”, then the menu button once to enter this setting
Press the menu button once to allow the unit to calibrate automatically
S5, P5, X5, and PRO units: the door will open fully at the end of the calibration. If not, please retry calibration.
All-in-One units: the door will close at the end of the calibration. If not, this means that your motor is moving in reverse. Please see our article on Fixing a door moving in the wrong direction for assistance.
LUX Adjustment
LUX Adjustment
The LUX Adjustment page is where you can adjust your light sensor settings. You can customise the light levels that should trigger your door to open and close.
(This option is not available on Standard or S5 units unless you have purchased a sensor-unlock code through Customer Support)

Press the down button four times to get to “LUX Adjustment”, then the menu button once to enter this setting
Use the up and down buttons to navigate between the options (the cursor will highlight which option is selected) and use menu button to select and deselect an option
If you have selected “Open” or “Close”, you can use the up and down buttons to alter the light level you want the door to open or close at. Then press the menu button to save the new number.
To exit this page, make sure neither the Open or Close value are flashing, and use the up or down button to move the cursor to "Exit", then press the menu button.
The Open setting has a minimum of 200 and a maximum of 253. The Close setting has a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 199. (Remember: the brighter it is, the higher the number should be.)
Press the down button three times from "Open" to move the cursor to “Read”, then the menu button once to take a reading of the current light level.
To discover your perfect Open and Close light values, take a LUX reading one morning shortly before sunrise, and then take another LUX reading one evening shortly after sunset. Then set the Open and Close settings in “LUX Adjustment” to around these numbers.
You can also delay the closing time by up to an hour using a setting called "Sensor Delay":

Press the down button five times to get to “Misc Settings”, pressing the menu button once to enter this setting
Press the down button twice to get to “Sensor Delay”, pressing the menu button once to enter this setting
Press the up button to select “YES”.
Now, when you go to “Close Settings”, and scroll to “Sensor”, it will allow you to choose how long to delay the close for after sunset. You can choose up to 60 minutes.
Language
Language
The Language option is where you can choose the language you would like the unit to use.

Press the down button six times to get to "Language", pressing the menu button once to enter this setting
Use the up or down button to scroll through the languages, pressing the menu button to confirm the one you want to use.
