NOTE: The ChickenGuard App Kit is currently not yet available for purchase, and is still in the beta testing stage. Talk to Customer Support to be added to the waitlist and be one of the first to hear when the kit is released.
Once you have created your account and logged in, you will need to add your HomeHub as a New Device and connect your ChickenGuard Door Opener to the app.
Part 1 - Add a New Device
Step 1: Plug in the HomeHub
Plug your HomeHub into a power outlet near to your Wifi router.
Step 2: Start the Setup process
1. Tap "Add New Device" on the first screen.
"Device" refers to the HomeHub device that will communicate between your smartphone and the Door Opener.
2. Then tap "Find devices nearby".
Step 3: Make sure the HomeHub is ready to connect
A new screen will open with some instructions.
1. Make sure that your HomeHub device and smartphone are very close to the router.
2. Make sure that the LED indicator is blinking.
3. Tap "Start".
Step 4: Connect to the HomeHub's network
1. A new screen will open with more instructions.
"Your smartphone will search for available HomeHub devices around you and ask to connect. Tap on the HomeHub device's network when the device is found."
2. Tap "Continue".
3. A small window will open, showing a Wifi network named something similar to "ChickenGuard ChickenGuard-RA2M". The last 4 digits could be any collection of numbers and letters. Tap on the Network.
4. A new page will open while the App and HomeHub connect.
Step 5: Allow location access
You now need to allow access to your location.
1. Tap "Continue" when you have read the information on this page.
2. A small window will then open, where you can allow access to your smartphone's location information. Tap "Allow" or "While using the app", depending on the options your smartphone gives you.
Step 6: Connect to your Wifi
A new page will open titled "Choose Your Wi-Fi Network".
1. Tap on your Wifi network.
2. On the next page, enter your Wifi network's password and make sure to tap the check-box next to "Remember the network for other devices".
3. Tap "Continue".
Step 7: Name your Device
A new page will open where you can name your new device.
1. Tap on the text box.
2. Type any name you would like.
3. Tap "Set Up As New" at the bottom of the page.
Step 8: Choose your Language
Now you need to choose the language that the app will use.
1. Tap on "Choose APP LANGUAGE".
2. Tap on the language you need. There are currently 5 languages available.
3. Then tap "Next".
4. On the next page, tap "Finish".
