Mark-4 models

To turn on External Power mode on your Mark-4 Standard, Premium, or Extreme unit, please navigate to Misc Settings > External Power and choose "YES". You will need to complete this step before the unit knows to draw power from the power cable instead of batteries.

Mark-4 models require a bespoke USB cable, which can be purchased by talking to Customer Support and requesting a quote. Please provide the below information:

  • Your full name

  • Your full address

  • A photo of your unit's circuit board

This bespoke cable can be used with a 5-volt 2-amp plug, e.g. a phone charger adapter.

Mark-5 models

Mark-5 models (including the S5, P5, X5, and Pro) can be powered using a DC power cable. You will need to look for one with a 2.1mm barrel-style jack and an adapter that provides 9 volts and at least 1 amp.

These cables can be purchased in electrical stores, or online on websites like Amazon or eBay.
