All-in-One Door Settings

Learn about the Door Settings you can choose for your All-in-One

Updated over 10 months ago

What are Door Modes?

The All-in-One has quite a powerful motor and for this reason, you are able to change the "Door Mode" to suit different conditions.

The different Door Modes are "Normal Mode", "Winter Mode", and "Custom Mode".

Normal Mode

Normal Mode is designed for every day usage in moderate weather conditions. This mode makes the door sensitive enough to obstructions that it will stop closing when it detects a chicken.

Winter Mode

Winter Mode is designed for more extreme weather conditions where ice or frost may have gathered between the door and the rails.

This additional power is strong enough to push through the ice, but it also makes it less sensitive to obstructions. To keep your chickens safe, we recommend setting the door to close slightly later to avoid the possibility of trapping a chicken.

Custom Mode

Custom Mode allows you to choose your own values for the door's various power settings. This mode should not be used unless under the instruction of a ChickenGuard Support Technician.

How can you switch between Door Modes?

To choose a different door mode, please follow these instructions:

  1. Press the menu button to wake the screen

  2. Press the menu button once to enter the Settings menu

  3. Press the down button 5 times, to get to "Misc Settings", pressing the menu button to select this option

  4. Press the down button 5 times, to get to "Door Control", pressing the menu button to select this option

  5. Use the up or down button to scroll between the options, pressing the menu button to select the option you want.

If you purchased your All-in-One unit between April-June 2023, your unit will have the first version of the firmware installed, which did not yet include the Door Mode options. Talk to Customer Support for guidance on changing your door settings.
