Adding a Sensor Delay

Learn what "Sensor Delay" is and how you can use it

Updated this week

When using the light sensor to close your door, you might find that the chickens are not all inside their coop by the time the sun sets and the door closes. If this is the case, you can delay the close by up to an hour using a setting called "Sensor Delay".

  1. Press the menu button once to wake the unit up.

  2. Press the menu button once from the home screen.

  3. Use the down button to scroll to "Diverse Settings" or "Other Options", using the menu button to select this option.

  4. Use the down button to scroll to "Sensor Delay", using the menu button to select this option.

  5. Select "YES" using the up button.

Once the setting has been enabled, you will need to go to Close Settings and set the time delay you want (can be increased by intervals of 5 mins by up to 60 mins).

This delay can also be configured in the "Open Settings" for adjusting the door opening timing, offering the same 5-minute increments up to 60 minutes.
