It can be concerning to turn on your door opener to see something you weren't expecting. Please read below to see if we have already identified the LCD screen problem you are experiencing.
Why does the screen display a row of white squares?
The first thing to check if you see a row of white squares on your screen is the power source. If using batteries, try a new set of 4x AA batteries and see if this allows the screen to display as normal again.
If using an external power cable, try removing the cable for a few minutes to see if it helps to reset the display.
If resetting the power supply does not remove the white squares from your screen, you will need to order a replacement front panel from the Customer Support team. Talk to the team via chat or email and make sure to pass on a photo of the screen, a photo of the circuit board, and a copy of your proof-of-purchase.
Why does the screen display seemingly random letters and symbols?
Unfortunately, if you see jumbled letters and symbols on your screen, this means that your circuit board has developed a fault. This is often caused due to damage to the circuit board but can sometimes be due to an internal fault.
Talk to the team via chat or email and make sure to pass on a photo of the screen, a photo of the circuit board, and a copy of your proof-of-purchase.
